Did you know that honeybees are the only insect that humans raise for food and medicine?  According to the US Department of Agriculture, these under-appreciated workers pollinate 80% of our flowering crops, which constitute one-third of everything we eat.  Honeybees are amazing gentle creatures in dangerous decline.  Join us for this 2-hour workshop and learn about the benefits of these marvelously created insects, the power of honey, how to care for bees, questions and answers session about working hives and much more.  All participants will receive a small sample of local honey.  Get the Buzz on Honeybees!  Program takes place at the Clifton Community Garden Project (St. Andrews Blvd. and Clifton Ave., PSEG property).  Park along Jubilee Park (near St. Andrews Blvd.) and a recreation staff member will guide you to the class area.  Bring your own lawn chair.  Senior discount is not available for this program.  Instruction By: Brian Eromenak, Beekeeper & Owner Stix & Stone Farms, LLC.  Limit is: 20 per class.
