Yoga for Youth - Youth
This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.
Children derive enormous benefits from yoga; it enhances flexibility, strength, coordination, concentration, calmness, self-esteem, and so much more. Yoga is a non-competitive form of exercise, teaching self-control, enhancing focus and awareness. Participants must bring their own yoga mat to each class and can be helpful for home to continue to practice what they learn each week. Parents must sign an additional waiver at the first class. Due to COVID-19 guidelines, participants are required to bring enough water bottles to last each class. Feel free to send your child with their own hand sanitizer. Participants and staff will be required to wear a face covering entering and exiting the program and throughout the program when social distancing can't be maintained. Instruction by: Sharon Prawetz, Blooming Minds Yoga. Limit is 12 per class.
Participants will be required to have a temperature check and health assessment upon arrival at the program each week before your child is allowed to participate. When dropping off, parents must wear a face covering, maintain social distancing, and stay with their child until they have been tested and approved. You can begin arriving 15 minutes before the program is scheduled to begin to allow time for the health assessment and temperature testing. Please be patient as this process will take some time to complete.
Yoga for Youth is open to Clifton Residents ONLY. Unfortunately, due to state re-opening guidelines as a result of COVID-19, non-residents will not be eligible to register for 2020. Pre-registration online is required. In-person registration is not permitted at this time due to COVID-19 guidelines.
Health & Safety Requirements:
You can begin arriving 15 minutes before the program begins. This will allow time for the required weekly temperature check and health assessment that must be conducted before your child is allowed to participate in the program.
Each week your child will be asked a series of 4 health assessment questions and temperature taken before class begins. Any child that fails the pre-admission screening will not be able to participate in the program. Please be patient when dropping off your child as this may take some time and can only be done one person at a time. If your child does not pass the pre-assessment requirements, they will need to leave the program immediately.
Parents must wear a face-covering and social distance as they wait for their child to be tested and approved for admission.
The class ends promptly. Please make sure you are there by dismissal time. Cleaning must take place in order for the next program to come in and to ensure participants have the least exposure possible to other incoming program participants.
Parents must wear a face-covering and social distance when picking up their child from the program.
Please keep your child home if they have any viral symptoms or your child has been exposed to the virus - self isolate.
